The Library will partner with the Bisbee Fire Department again this year to help collect food to distribute to those in need for the December holidays. All month long, library patrons are encouraged to pay off their overdue fines with cans of food and other nonperishable food items. Each item donated will count as $1.00 toward your overdue fines. There will be no change given and food items cannot be used to pay off lost library materials. Library patrons are encouraged to donate food even if they don’t have fines. Feel free to drop off items at the library circulation desk. Also returning this year is the Library’s Secret Santa Campaign. Help reinstate someone’s library borrowing privileges and become a Secret Santa this holiday season by replacing lost or damaged library items and clearing the accounts of those patrons who can’t afford to do so. You may also purchase something off of the Wish List. Sponsor a book or DVD and give a gift the whole community will enjoy!

Join the Copper Queen Library in our annual screening of Krampus and our Pajama and Hot Cocoa Party! While the holiday season represents the most magical time of year, ancient European folklore warns of Krampus, a horned beast who punishes naughty children at Christmastime. When dysfunctional family squabbling causes young Max to lose his festive spirit, it unleashes the wrath of the fearsome demon. As Krampus lays siege to the Engel home, mom, pop, sister and brother must band together to save one another from a monstrous fate. Rated PG-13.
