The Copper Queen Library's Summer Reading Program is free and open to grades K - 12. Pre-registration is strongly recommended for incentives, including books, notebooks, bookbags, and required for all field trips. The 2018 program, "Libraries Rock," will offer classes -- in the library and field projects -- taking the reading into the city parks and environs. The Program will offer classes in the library and field projects, including instrument building, music workshops, a special trip on to Freeport McMoRan land, and an end of Summer BBQ. We are proud to have the support of Freeport McMoRan and the Friends of the Copper Queen Libraries as sponsors. Registration forms are available at the Copper Queen Library, City Hall, and online at www.bisbeeaz.gov. Classes are limited, please pre-register. For more info call 520-432-4232.

Join Yotaki on Tuesdays beginning September 5 from 11 – 12 for Hatha Yoga instruction. Hatha Yoga practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation. Classes will include instruction in different yoga stretches and positions and meditation visualizations. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat or towel. Classes are free and open to all levels, but registration is required. Registration forms are available at the front desk and may be filled out before any class.

During its four-year production period, A Plastic Ocean was filmed in 20 locations around the world in beautiful and chilling detail to document the global effects of plastic pollution and introduce workable technology and policy solutions that can, if implemented in time, change things for the better.
