April 6, 2021, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ This is a virtual program accessible through Zoom
In this generative writing workshop, led by poet and librarian Sarah Kortemeier, we’ll use the list as a tool to help us access memory, imagination, and gratitude. We’ll work in community with one another, writing together as we reflect on the past year and on our hopes for the future. No previous creative writing experience is required, and all are welcome. Sarah Kortemeier’s debut collection of poetry, Ganbatte, won the 2019 Felix Pollak Prize from the University of Wisconsin Press. Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Ploughshares, Fairy Tale Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and The Feminist Wire, among others. Sarah holds an MFA in Poetry and an MA in Library and Information Science, both from The University of Arizona, and she currently serves as Library Director at The University of Arizona Poetry Center.
