Summer Fun Program 2025

Welcome to the Copper Queen Library’s Summer FUN Program, Color Our World! The CQL will be hosting programs in June and July and giving away a book a week to every participant. Centered around art and community, this year's program will celebrate art in all its forms, creating a colorful tapestry of experience for everyone! Open to children between the ages of 0—18 the CQL's Summer FUN Program will kick off with an outdoor Foam Party on the back patio of the CQ Library Annex on Friday, June 11, 2025 from 12:30 - 2:30 PM.

Programs will be held on Wednesdays, from June 11—July 16, 2025 from 12:30—2:30 PM at the CQ Library Annex, which is located in the BUSD Administration Building at 519 W. Melody Lane in the San Jose Neighborhood of Bisbee. This summer’s program will culminate with a field trip and picnic party at the Oldfield Oasis on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to attend this end of summer extravaganza. Details and directions will be provided for interested families.

Because supplies are limited, registrations will be prioritized to local Bisbee, Naco, and surrounding unincorporated areas being served by the Copper Queen Library. Please register early, as space is limited.

Foam Party!

Join us for a FOAM Party on the back patio of the CQ Library Annex. Non-toxic foam will be sprayed from a Pro Grade Super Foam Cannon, accompanied by dance music, beach balls and photo ops. Please wear play clothes and bring towels and lots of energy!

Wildman Phil's Reptile Show

Wildlife Comedian Wildman Phil’s unique brand of comedy is enjoyed by tens of thousands of people annually, and he takes his exotic creatures to entertain and educate audiences of all ages. He has appeared in episodes of The Discovery Channel’s Emmy award winning series “Breaking Trail” and “Coyote’s Backyard” while working closely with the infamous YouTube sensation Coyote Peterson and his Brave Wilderness channel.

Summer Party @ The Oldfield Oasis

Join us for an end-of-summer party at the Oldfield Oasis. Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, hat and towel!

Splish Splash Story Time

Tuesdays, June 10 - July 15, 2025

New for our 2025 Summer Fun Program, Splish Splash Story Time is open to children ages 0 - 5 and will take place at the City of Bisbee Baby Pool, located in Higgins Park in Old Bisbee. Families will dive into story adventures filled with laughter, imagination, and water fun.

Board Game Club

2nd & 4th Fridays throughout the year

Attention Youth between the ages of 8 - 18! Join the Copper Queen Library every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at the ANNEX for our new Youth Games & Tea Time. Led by our Teen Volunteers, our new board game club is a great way for teens to get together to play games, make new friends, and hang out at the Annex. Snacks and tea will be provided! New board games were generously sponsored by The Friends of the Copper Queen Library.

Chess Club

Saturdays, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (June & July (except June 13, 2025))

The Copper Queen Library’s Chess Club is open to patrons of ALL ages and abilities and meets Saturdays at the Main Library on Saturdays throughout the year. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Copper Queen Library and facilitated by Cochise Chess, a nonprofit that brings the game of chess to communities in Cochise County.
