Trish Damon, born in Ord, Nebraska, grew up in a small Iowa town with her six siblings and parents. After graduating from high school in Tama, Iowa, she held various jobs, including working on the factory line for Amana radar ranges, at Napa Auto Parts warehouse, as a waitress, and in retail sales. For several years, she managed one of a sister-owned fashion shoe stores in Omaha, Nebraska.
As an adult student, Trish attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Math Education and later a Master of Arts in Bilingual Education. She taught for twelve years in the Sunnyside School District before falling in love with and moving to Bisbee in 2004. Trish taught at Buena High School in Sierra Vista and then at Bisbee High School for another three years before retiring in 2021. During her teaching career, she served as the Math department head, led professional development for other educators, and actively participated as a building representative for the local educators association. She integrated language skills across the disciplines, incorporated art projects into the Math curriculum. Always advocating for her students and fellow educators.
After retiring from teaching, Trish has dedicated her time to various pursuits. She has taken art classes at Cochise Community College, worked in her art studio in her San Jose home, volunteered at the library bookstore, and served on the City’s Parks and Recreation Committee for the past few years. In September 2025, Trish interviewed and was appointed to the City Council to fill a vacancy in Ward 3.
